If you didn’t know that July 10th is one of the worlds most delicious days, well now you know. July 10th is National Piña Colada Day. You’re welcome.
So to celebrate, I will be sharing with you all my favorite, super cheap, Piña Colada recipe! But let me just warn you now, they are dangerously delicious. That was more of a, “go to the grocery store, and buy the damn supplies now”, kind of warning. If you’re not a drinker, no problem. Leave the booze out, and create the same mouth watering Piña Colada.
Here we go!
What you will need:
- Rum of choice
- Coconut Cream
- Pineapple Juice
- Garnish of choice
Steps in making this heavenly libation for 2 servings are as follows:
- If you will be using a Nutri Bullet or Ninja like I do, then you will be filling the entire blender cup with ingredients. First ingredient being ice. Fill the blender cup with ice, and leave just enough room for the lid. If you are using a standard blender, use your judgement, but you will most likely fill 3/4 with ice.
- Measure out 4 oz of Rum. (I prefer Malibu Rum for this particular drink, but I branched out this time)
- 5 oz of Pineapple Juice
- 2 oz of coconut cream
- Put the lid on, and blend until smooth!
- Pour into cup of choice, and don’t forget to garnish! Pop a small drink umbrella in, and you’re sipping liquid gold.
All of this taking no longer than 5 minutes. This is by far the easiest, and most delicious beverage out there to make at home. Perfect for those summer get togethers, or even a night in with the girls.
Pro tip: pour cherry juice on top, and it becomes even tastier. I don’t know how becoming tastier is possible, but I don’t ask questions.
