Thankful

Today is Thanksgiving. A day where families and friends gather round tables filled with food, reciting what it is that they’re thankful for. A day where most can leave their workload behind, relax, watch football, cook, and wait for the Black Friday madness to commence.

This is the first year I get to celebrate with Joe as Husband and Wife. Last year at this time, we weren’t even engaged yet. How crazy is that? But we decided to work today and get time and a half pay. We didn’t have any huge plans, so it didn’t weigh on us too much. We decided to have our very own first official Thanksgiving feast tomorrow. We will both be flipping through recipes, and pitching in to cook both of our first turkey. I’ll let you know how it goes. A peaceful day I expect it to be. Of course that is after I get some black friday shopping done myself in the wee hours of the morning.

I hope you were all able to have a cozy, relaxing Thanksgiving. Although I worked all day, it gave me time to reflect on exactly what it is that i’m thankful for. Which I will go ahead and share with you all, so you have time to get in a quick nap before shopping tonight.

I am most thankful for being brought into this world. For my mother, and my father, and for all of my family.

I am thankful for my marriage, for my husband, and the way he looks at me everyday as if each time is the first. For his hard work, and dedication to constantly making sure that i’m happy.

I am thankful for my dog Brewtus, as when Joe is not around, Brewtus is my five pound bundle of cuddle that I need. Also people that have dogs live longer, pro tip.

I am thankful for the roof over my head, for the job that I have, and the luxuries I get in return from having said job.

I am thankful to be healthy, and happy.

I am thankful for my friends, and how they support me.

Lastly, I am thankful for all of you readers. Taking the time out of your days to read what I have to say. Thank you.
